2013 Milwaukee Irish Fest
Cultural displays at the 2013 Milwaukee Fest included The Cave of the Sun: Prehistoric Irish Art, J.R.R. Tolkien’s Irish Connections, A Faces of Ireland exhibit in the Genealogy Pavilion, and the Ward Irish Music Archives presented the History of Irish Rock Music.
Entertainment at the festival included Goitse, Gaelic Storm, Carlos Nunez, The Elders, Makem & Spain Brothers, Manran, Tom Sweeney, Tom O’Carroll, Dublin 5, Screaming Orphans, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Tom Paxton, Bohola, Cutthroat Shamrock, We Banjo 3, The Willis Clan, Ronan Tynan, Creel, Ed Miller, and JPTrio with Niamh Farrell. Dancers were the Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance, Glencastle Irish Dancers, Kinsella Academy of Irish Dance, Rince Nia Academy of Irish Dance, Trinity Academy of Irish Dance, Cronin School of Irish Dance, Glencastle Irish Dancers, and Gillan School of Highland Dance.
The 2013 Celtic Roots Stage featured a Nova Scotia Showcase. Featured artists included The Barra MacNeils, Buddy MacDonald, Dave Gunning, Evans & Doherty, Mary Jane Lamond and Wendy MacIsaac, The Modern Grass, Old Man Luedecke, Sprag Session, and Cassie and Maggie MacDonald.
