2011 Milwaukee Irish Fest
Cultural exhibits at the 2011 Milwaukee Irish Fest included The Beech Hill Hotel; Presidential Connections – Ulster Scots in the White House; St. Columba, in Colmcille – Poet, Priest, Emigrant; and Derry – City of Culture 2013. The Ward Irish Music Archives presented “When Johnny Comes Marching Home: The Irish in the American Civil War.”
Featured entertainers in 2011 included Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfetones, The High Kings, Skerryvore, Gaelic Storm, The Clumsy Lovers, The Outside Track, Goitse, The Elders, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Paul McKenna Band, David Kincaid, Blackthorn, Fiach, Seamus Kennedy, Vishten, Qristina and Quinn Bachand, and Pat and Steve.
Dancers included the Rince Nia Academy of Irish Dance, Kinsella Academy of Irish Dance, Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance, Gillan School of Irish Dance, Caledonian Scottish Dancers, McMenamin Irish Dance Academy, Glencastle Irish Dancers, and Trinity Academy of Irish Dance
The Celtic Roots Showcase featured the counties of Derry and Donegal. Artists included in the showcase were Altan, Moya Brennan, Kintra, Different Drums of Ireland, Liz Doherty Connection, Fidil, Brendan Hendry Band, The Henry Girls, Kathleen Fitzgerald and the Screaming Orphans, and Tom Sweeney.
