2002 Milwaukee Irish Fest
Cultural offerings at the 2002 Milwaukee Irish Fest included a focus on Ireland’s Gaeltacht regions. Other exhibits included the exhibit Turas – The Irish Sacred Landscape, Irish pilgrimages, Holy Wells, and Magical Mountains. Fintan Mullan helped trace guests' ancestry in the Genealogy Tent. The Ward Irish Music Archives premiered The History of Irish Rock Music exhibit.
Irish Music Magazine held a trivia contest, and the Cottage Market debuted.
Entertainment highlights for the 2002 festival included The Highwaymen, Tracy Sands Band, Kila, Patrick Street, Barachois, Cherish the Ladies, Leahy, Paddy Reilly, The Clumsy Lovers, Shooglenifty, The Commitments, The Makem Brothers, North Cregg, Kilfenora Ceili Band and Clancy, and O’Connell & Clancy. Dancers were The Glencastle Irish Dancers, Cashel Dennehy Irish Dancers, Trinity Irish Dancers, Caledonian Scottish Dancers, and the Gillan School of Highland Dance.
