Liz Doherty Connection

County Donegal’s Liz Doherty is a well known fiddler, academic and educator, currently at the University of Ulster. Her PhD dissertation was on the fiddle music of Cape Breton, and, to no surprise, she is known for her distinctive fiddle style and her strong Scottish and Cape Breton influenced playing. Liz was a founding member of Nomos and Fiddlesticks and records regularly with the Bumblebees. Liz and her outstanding band impart what is best about Irish music: sheer fun and joy.
